Our beginner's course is five sessions in which you receive an introduction to target archery and get taught the correct shooting technique. Over the beginners course you'll also learn about safety, etiquette and the rules of shooting, so if you decide to join afterwards you can get started at the club sessions right away.
Depending on COVID-19 restrictions we will post the 2021 beginner course details in the near future.
There is no difference in the two courses, only the day of the week that they take place on:
All equipment is provided, and everyone is properly insured during the sessions.
The courses are open to anyone over the age of 8.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also taking the course.
The course costs £60 for adults and £45 for under 18s.
The courses are held outdoors at the Thirsk Bowman field near Topcliffe.
Completion of the beginners course is a pre-requisite of club membership
If you would like to reserve a place on one of these courses, please email email@example.com, stating which course you're interested in and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. the courses are typically run with no more than 12 participants. Once a place is allocated to you we'll get back in touch to take payment and secure your booking.
Unfortunately we don't currently have the resources to offer have-a-go or taster style sessions.
