Junior Coaching
Once a beginners course has been completed, ongoing Junior Coaching is at least twice a week.
Outdoors April to October at the field on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 5pm until 7pm.
Indoors October to April at East Thirsk Community Hall Tuesday evening at 5pm and Saturday morning at 8:30am overseen by Archery GB Level 2 Coaches. We also have two Welfare Officers at the club.
Being a 24/7 club there is ample opportunity to practice. Many of our Junior members are part of the Yorkshire team, some have progressed to AGB Pathway and on to the Senior Olympic Squad competing internationally.
Regular Competition archers are encouraged to join the Junior Performance Group. Thirsk Bowmen is accredited by Archery GB as a Performance club.


All Abilities Coaching
Thirsk Bowmen have archers with various abilities. We have several members with Neurodiversity and physical disabilities. The club house is wheelchair accessible. Parking is on grass near to the entrance and we have matting down to the club house. There are also wheelchair accessible facilities. Senior coaching sessions are available and are tailored to the individual archers needs. We have social archers and those who compete regularly and have progressed to the AGB para pathway.
